My high school years were 1972, 1973, 1974. Back when music ______ (you tell me)

Growing up in the 60's and 70's, my influences were Steppenwolf, The Who, Yes, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Rush… The list is long. I can still sing every verse of every Steely Dan song (through Aja…Dan fans will agree with me), and also enjoyed cult bands from UFO and Jeff Beck to Dr. Hook.

Nothing compares to being part of a band. Even if you're just a weekend cover band whose income offsets about 10% of what it costs to be in the band, it gives you a tiny taste of rock star. It makes you just one step closer to living in the limelight.

Career low: I sold my 1970's vintage original analog Mini Moog for $1000. At a recent Yes concert I saw that Rick Wakeman still had his.

Career high: Blue Rumor's last gig at Famous Dave's. Mark, Bob and I played to a full house and absolutely rocked the place.
